Lichtenberg Figures Burnt Into Wood #1 Poplar Wood Fractal Wood Burning
I took a piece of poplar wood and burnt Lichtenberg figures in it with a 10,000 volt transformer. Check out my other video that shows how I made my Lichtenberg burner. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1osMvwymPqU

  1. I have thoroughly enjoyed your presentations of the various experiments you've tried with the different woods, different voltages and sources, plus the different techniques such as the book matching. Keep up the good work!

  2. l like the way you do it not holding on to the probes. Much safer in my opinion when dealing high voltage. Great video

  3. Kinda looks like the back of my Nana's legs, but much cooler. Tell me, do they make an actual machine to do this with? I'd love to try it, but not confident in my abilities to build one from scratch. Nice job. Thanks for posting…

  4. Very interesting I am using the microwave transformer but agree varyarc switch would help Harry Whyte Woodturner Aberdeen scotland

  5. Wow, this would really be interesting to try on a turned wooden bowl. Wonder if it would burn both the inside and outside at the same time. Maybe depend on the thickness of the wall. Thanks for sharing this.

  6. hi there . what kind of transformer u using that can be turn up and down the voltage ?

  7. Very nice so far I have done two ply boards with the microwave but must use a variable switch Harry from scotland

  8. I like your Lichtenberg device. I just bought the oil burning transformer. I am thinking about using a light dimmer switch to control the power/burn. Great job.
