  1. Thanks for the vid! I've made several of these out of MDF. Lichtenberg figures can be quite beautiful. A word of caution though: Once you start to get into the kilo-volt range, things which are typically "insulators" are not so insulating. That thin plastic lid won't save you if you happen to touch the metal table. The total resistance of a material is proportional to the distance a current must travel. So the greater the distance (i.e. thicker the material), the better. Best of luck with your new found tool!
