Fold Down Miter Saw Cover To Complete Bench Top – All-In-One Woodworking Table Miter Saw Station

Fold Down Miter Saw Cover To Complete Bench Top - All-In-One Woodworking Table Miter Saw Station
Since installing the fold down miter saw station I’ve wanted to close it up when the saw is in its stored position.
Closing it up would complete the top on the ultimate woodworking workstation making one large outfeed table for the table saw.

The reason I never got around to doing it was because till now I couldn’t figure out the best way to store the lid when I wanted to use the station.

  1. I have full confidence in you, you are a very clever and resourceful engineer. Love seeing you solve the challenges…..what could you possibly do to improve this work station … waiting to see….

  2. Jean you are a genius……you always think outside the box…….that's why i follow you, so I can learn.

  3. Attaboy! Great solution! I was trying to figure it out before your reveal… I failed. Makes perfect sense, though.

  4. Nice man do you have plans for this build, I'm in SA cape town also have limited space for my tools.

  5. Love this series. I will be working in the same direction soon, but will wait to see more updates of your as you go along. I was considering the same thing with that top. My thoughts were to make a hinged top the either is a slip top and opens to the left and the right of the saw or to just one side (right) and include a built in auxiliary fence. I'd probably lean to a split top. this would mean that the saw would need to sit higher to be aligned, but the fence and top would align on both sides of the saw. Might interfere with the table saw too much. Great work sir.
