  2. Red iron oxide is the color in the brick, a natural material. Just use it instead of grinding up an old brick.

  3. Yes and No, mass market products have finishes, solvents, etc that off gas toxins throughout the life of the furniture that is now in our homes. So we are trading health for speed and convenience.

    So I hear you, but we need to hold our modern methods to a safer standard.
