  1. please help.  I watched an idiot on youtube sanding against wood grain, so I did that.  When I sat on my floor to floor for high spots that is when I notice scratches on my floor.  How can I correct this problem.  I used a drum sander almost two weeks ago using grit 34, then grit 60, and lastly grit 120.  The home depot rental shop guy told me to use those grits because I want to refinish my floor. It is 1150 floors with scratches on it.  The floor was almost in very good condition with hardly any scratches. I pulled up three area that had carpet on top of hardwood.  There are 3 bedrooms that the previous homeowner pulled out the carpet , but they didn't fill in any holes and the boys' room have scuff marks (poly is off the hardhood), plus the home office the same thing.
Please help or give me advice how I can fix the problem . I live in the San Jose area and it is too expensive to hire someone to do the work.  The quote I got is between 4 to $6 a foot depending on the type of resurfacing and how many layer of poly, etc.
Help.   I am so upset.  All 4 days of hard work now is all wasted due to a guy on youtube sanding against grain and I didn't know better and used his method.  .

  2. For those interested in seeing the staining and finishing process visit my channel and watch the Custom Hardwood installation video.

  3. I used Fabulon Super Satin on this one. 2 coats rolled 24 hours apart, abraded 180 grit between.
